Solana data. Know your mint.
Connect mint identity, token-account scope, exact balances, and program context in a record your application can explain.
A mint identifies a token. A token account describes a holding. Keep that distinction at the center of a Solana integration, then specify the program scope, amount representation, and observation policy the application requires.
What to define
Mint and account scope
Distinguish the asset from the account holding it and any owner-level aggregation.
Precision preserved
Keep the raw amount and known decimals with every formatted display value.
Context carried through
Make program capabilities, slot context, and commitment policy visible.
Choose the balance definition
An individual account amount and a sum across an owner’s selected accounts are different outputs. State which one the feed should return, what filters apply, and whether constituent records are included. The internal Solana source notes identify the relevant mint and owner-query concepts.
Do not hide parser limitations
A collector should distinguish an observed absence of an optional capability from an unsupported or unknown decoding result. For tokenized assets, these details can be useful technical context without becoming an assurance about legal rights or issuer quality. Preserve evidence interpretation in a separate layer.
Test the awkward sample
Include multiple token accounts for one owner and mint, missing labels, large raw amounts, and an unsupported feature. Check context alignment before combining independent observations. A sample’s format does not establish production coverage, freshness, or delivery availability; those belong in the agreed specification.
